The shape of things to come

At our first camp in Zambia
doing the washing-up

....and here is Pascaline supervising!

Exploring Vic Falls

It was the dry period

Here we are setting off across the dry South Zambesi river

Well, fairly dry!

This bit was still flowing

and very spectacular too!

Steve's bungee jump

Roped-up and ready to go
on the bridge over the gorge

On the way down

A long way down - now somewhat closer to one of the rapids on the Zambesi river

Being hauled back up again

Foot Safari

It is possible to go on walking tours in the game park near the falls

Looking at a rather dead animal

The Maribou Storks in the background just want us to go away and let them get on with their meal

When I am on foot, I really appreciate having a few tree trunks between me and any buffalo.

Some between me and the Rhino would be even nicer!

Getting this close was a great experience

Pia managed to get even closer, the following day,

Giraffes are a lot more peaceful

They just get on with eating their trees

Now we have been spotted!

Pity - the giraffe will move away now
